Strategy for increasing production capacity

Our first commercial scale factory, expected to start commercial deliveries in 2026, is designed to have an annual production capacity of 30,000 metric tons. This translates to the amount of fiber needed for around 100 million T-shirts.  This enables us to build further commercial traction in the global market and deepen our collaboration with both existing and new partners.

The size of the factory investment is estimated to be around EUR 400 million. Once fully operational the factory is expected to employ 220 people directly and 50 in other site related services in Kemi in northern Finland. In response to the high market demand for our Infinna™ fiber, we aim to further accelerate the capacity build-up by shifting our role from pure licensor position towards actively advancing the next Infinna™ factories in close partnerships. Through this model, we target an annual production capacity of 500k tons of Infinna™ by 2030. The new capacity increase roadmap enables us to provide our current and future customers with clearer outlook on how Infinna™´s availability will develop over the coming years, helping them on their journey towards circularity.
